Hi, friend! My name is Emily and I'm an elopement+wedding photographer based out of East Tennessee. I live close to the Great Smoky Mountains with my lionhearted husband and our cats, and I’m proud to be a licensed photographer within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I grew up in the thumb of Michigan, where my love for adventure+nature was cultivated by dirt road drives and lakes that look like oceans, and I now spend much of my time running around Cades Cove or the Foothills Parkway.
-
When I was twenty-one, I left the Mitten and moved west to Big Sky Country, where I discovered not only a deep affection for mountain scenery but the Creator Himself. His love changed everything about me, and I’m proud to call myself a follower of Christ. That year of 59808 living started me on a restoring journey towards self-acceptance and abundant love, and I’d love to tell you more about it if you’re walking through a similar valley or have questions.
-
After a year out west, I moved to the Maryville, Tennessee and met my sweet husband, Adam. We married ten months after meeting, and while I’ll be the first to say that it happened fast, we had a peace and knew it was what God had for us. He is my best bud+biggest supporter, and the love and grace that he shows me daily are genuinely Christ-like.
-
I launched my photography business at the start of 2018 after a life of being “that” girl who was obsessed with taking photos on every vacation, school trip, or day with unusual weather (lol), and it has been a natural fit. As a photographer, I aim to make whoever is in front of my camera feel so comfortable and sure of who they were created to be, that their true personality shines through. Everyone brings something unique to this world, and I want to celebrate that.
-
My hope for my life is that it will testify of Christ+His goodness, so I hope the same for my photography business and this website. I’d love to adventure with you in the Smoky Mountains, celebrate with you on your wedding day, or simply meet up to talk, so feel free to reach out via social media or my contact form below. I can’t wait to hear from you!

I’ll love you just as much on rainy days as I do on sunny days..

this is my love, Adam, and the above statement is my favorite from the vows he wrote for our wedding day four years ago. every year with him has gotten sweeter and he is my best friend, protector, and home.
